HUDSON RIVER HERITAGE HISTORIC DISTRICT  Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this beautiful scenic area of natural sites, historic sites and charming hamlets is the largest such district on the mainland of the contiguous United States. Covering 35 square miles on the east bank of the Hudson River between Staatsburg and Germantown in Dutchess and Columbia counties, the area includes riverfront sections of the towns of Clermont, Red Hook, Rhinebeck and part of Hyde Park, the entire hamlets of Annandale, Barrytown, Rhinecliff and the village of Tivoli.


RHINEBECK VILLAGE HISTORIC DISTRICT  Well-preserved and cohesive collection of historic buildings. Contains 272 buildings in a variety of architectural styles dating from over 200 years of the settlement's history. It was recognized as an historic district and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.


NEW YORK STATE SHEEP & WOOL FESTIVAL  Held in October of each year at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds  in Rhinebeck. Starting out as a bred ewe sale by local shepherds in 1980, this now-national event features myriad vendors and demonstrations of fiber arts skills and activities, plus several livestock competitions, sheepdog trials, food, shopping and entertainment.


OMEGA INSTITUTE FOR HOLISTIC STUDIES  A non-profit educational retreat center located in Rhinebeck, Omega's stated mission is to "provide hope and healing for individuals and society through innovative educational experiences that awaken the best in the human spirit."
